We at the Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) have been working over the past two years to bring awareness of the ground-breaking environmental agreement and its benefits widely known as the Escazú Agreement to Caribbean citizens, especially Trinidadian and Tobagonian citizens.

So, today and for the rest of the month – under the #IfwehadEscazú campaign – we are calling on “Trinbagonians” to share their real and relatable stories of how they think the Escazú Agreement can contribute to a better Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean, including by protecting biodiversity; addressing environmental management issues and degradation; and/or protecting nature-based livelihoods.
