Port-of-Spain, May 10, 2022 – You are invited to the May 26, 2022 virtual launch of the project, Participatory budgeting and financial management for the forest sector in Jamaica, which is being funded by the European Union (FED/2021/428-620).
Join us at 10.00 a.m. EST (local time in Jamaica) on Zoom as the Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) and its co-executing partners, the Caribbean Coastal Area Management (C-CAM) Foundation, and the Jamaica Conservation Development Trust (JCDT), formally launch this important project, which focuses on essential forest governance and management issues, including advocating for forest sustainable management, conservation and restoration of Jamaica’s forest.
The project is part of the European Union’s support for the Government of Jamaica’s Public Finance Management Reform programme, that seeks to enhance awareness and capacity of Jamaican civil society to play a role in the budgetary cycle and delivery public finance management for the forest sector.
