Dr. C
indy Chandool holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Ecology from the University of Florida with a concentration in Environmental Engineering Sciences. She has 20 years of experience as a multidisciplinary environmental professional, and has worked as an independent consultant, project manager and academic. Her experience includes reviewing the enabling framework for climate change policy in Trinidad and Tobago, conducting environmental, social and gender impact assessments in the Caribbean, capacity development of CSOs, protected areas management, and avian ecology. Her experience has been focused primarily on Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean, but she has also consulted on energy and port development projects in the United States and Ethiopia.
She was on the development team for and lectured in the Masters of Environmental Science and Management Programme at the University of Trinidad and Tobago and also lectured in the Master of Science in Biodiversity Conservation & Sustainable Development in the Caribbean programme at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. She has also worked with international organizations including UNDP and FAO, leading GEF-funded projects on climate change adaptation and implementation of MEAs.
