CANARI supports climate justice advocacy actions by Caribbean civil society

The Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) is very pleased to support practical advocacy actions from 2024-2025 by civil society to promote climate justice across the Caribbean region via small grants awarded under the project, “A Caribbean Climate Justice Alliance for Advocacy, Action and Accountability”.

Advocacy actions are being rolled out by grassroots and national civil society organisations and activists in several Caribbean countries, including Grenada Land Actors, Kopounoule Inc., Society Against Sexual Orientation Discrimination (SASOD Guyana), The Breadfruit Collective, The Crystal Clear Initiative for Trinidad and Tobago and The Climate Conscious Podcast.

The overall aim of the project is to enhance mechanisms for advocacy, action and accountability that amplify the voices of those on the frontlines of the climate crisis and promote transformative development that delivers fair, equitable and just outcomes in the Caribbean. It is funded by the Open Society Foundations (OSF).
