Dr Natalie Boodram is an ecologist specialising in forest, river and riparian ecology. She also has an extensive background in climate resilience, integrated water resources management, environmental health and environmental education. Before joining CANARI, Natalie worked at the Global Water Partnership-Caribbean and the Caribbean Environmental Health Institute, so she brings an extensive regional and international environmental management background to CANARI. She also brings cross-cutting experience in the areas of natural resource policy, capacity building and knowledge exchange.
Forests and rivers give Natalie great joy, so she is happy to be responsible for the Forests, Livelihoods and Governance Programme at CANARI, helping stakeholders protect and manage these critical natural resources
Natalie has a Ph.D. in Ecology, Forestry Concentration. Fulbright Scholar at the University of Florida, 2009; an M.Phil. Plant Science, University of the West Indies (UWI), St Augustine, Trinidad, 2001; and a B.Sc. General (Major: Botany, Minor: Zoology), UWI, St Augustine, Trinidad 1996.
