Kingstown, May 3, 2024 –
The Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) received funding from the Caribbean Biodiversity Fund, co-financed by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety through KfW to implement a project in collaboration with local partners entitled, ‘Pioneering a blue-green economic development model for coastal adaptation, livelihoods and sustainability in St. Vincent’. The project seeks to pilot a local blue-green economic development model that protects, restores and sustainably uses coastal and marine ecosystems for ecological, socio-economic and climate resilience in the South Coast, St. Vincent.

CANARI now invites qualified persons (individual consultants or consortia) to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to provide ecosystem valuation services. EOIs comprising an application letter (no more than 2 pages) should confirm the applicant’s interest and availability and outline their expertise and relevant experience for undertaking the assignment, together with a recent CV. CVs should provide information demonstrating that the applicant has the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. Applicants should familiarise themselves with the local context and take this into account in preparing their EOI.

We encourage candidates to carefully read the detailed Request for Expressions of Interest and Terms of Reference before choosing to apply.

Candidates should send their EOI to the Executive Director, CANARI via email to [email protected], with the subject line “RE: Request for Expressions of Interest, Ecosystem Valuation Specialist – CBF EbA Facility SVG Project” by 11:59pm AST (UTC-4) on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Applications received after the stipulated date and time will not be considered.

If there are any questions or clarifications, information can be obtained by contacting the CANARI Project Manager, Yasa Belmar, at [email protected].
