Port-of-Spain, April 4, 2022 – Click here to read CANARI Technical Report #405: Enhancing financing for Local Green-blue Enterprises in Trinidad and Tobago: Challenges and opportunities.
It was produced as part of CANARI’s work to promote and support the process of transformation to environmentally sustainable, inclusive and resilient economic development in the Caribbean. Micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) were identified as a key pathway in this transformation but require enhanced support.
This study focused on assessing access to finance by Local Green-Blue Enterprises (LGEs), which are informal or formal MSMEs that have a potential positive effect on the global or local environment, community, society, or economy, and are striving to meet triple bottom line returns (economic, environmental and social).
This study is part of a global project led by the Green Economy Coalition and funded by the European Union (DCI/ENV/2020/417-985). CANARI is coordinating implementation in the Caribbean. More information on the project can be found here.
